Despite back-to-back losses, University of Louisville coach Rick Pitino said he isn't planning on massive personnel changes.

''The answer is not benching people after losing,'' Pitino said Tuesday at his news conference previewing Wednesday's game against Oral Roberts. ''The answer is getting the more out of people.''

That starts on defense, where Pitino said the Cards (5-3) were making too many mistakes in transition. He also pointed out the Cards' three-point defense must improve.

U of L allowed Charlotte and Western Carolina to combine to make 39 percent of their shots behind the arc and total 20 three-pointers.

Pitino said he remains encouraged, especially now that school is on break and the Cards can practice without time constraints.

''We expect to make big improvements during this stretch,'' Pitino said.
